Origin Story

The Skeleton Knife | Scorched was released on November 19, 2019, as part of Operation Shattered Web. Its sun-dappled spray-paint pattern features dark browns, charred black, and muted tan, giving it a burned or camouflage-like appearance. The flavor text, "The Phoenix is not a symbol of destruction... it's a symbol of rebirth - Valeria Jenner, Revolutionary," connects the skin to the Phoenix faction. This finish is considered a low-profile option compared to more vibrant knife finishes.

Drop Chance

Skeleton Knife | Scorched is a knife-tier skin, so standard Valve rarity odds don't apply. Knives drop at a combined rate of approximately 0.26% from supported cases before accounting for which knife type and finish you get. Valve doesn't publish individual knife or phase probabilities.

Skin Condition

• Minimal Wear ($229.88): The sun-dappled pattern appears dark and saturated, with only light edge rubbing on the blade and handle. This is the cleanest obtainable look for the skin.
• Field-Tested ($191.90): Noticeable fading appears on prominent edges, with the sun-dappled pattern becoming more muted and patchy, and some base metal peeking through on the blade.
• Well-Worn ($189.95): Significant fading is present across broad areas of the blade and handle, making the scorched pattern less distinct as the lighter underlayer and bare metal become more apparent.
• Battle-Scarred ($182.76): Heavy fading and abrasion cover large sections of the blade, exposing base metal with only fragments of the spray pattern remaining, resulting in a washed-out, distressed aesthetic.

Model

Scorched uses the legacy Skeleton Knife model, introduced with Operation Shattered Web on November 19, 2019. The inspect animation and third-person appearance match the original CS:GO version.

The Skeleton Knife | Scorched can be acquired as a rare special item from opening a Shattered Web Case, Fracture Case, or Snakebite Case. A StatTrak version is also available for kill tracking.
