Origin Story

The Nova | Rust Coat was released on December 3, 2020, as part of Operation Broken Fang, and is featured in The Havoc Collection. This shotgun skin is characterized by its heavily rusted exterior surfaces, which are described as still perfectly operational despite their appearance. Its flavor text, "Some people don't need to hide how dirty their deeds are," further emphasizes this worn and unvarnished aesthetic.

Drop Chance

Nova | Rust Coat is Industrial Grade, a common skin tier, one step above Consumer Grade. It can drop as an end-of-match reward from active competitive play on the Havoc Collection item pool. • Well-Worn ($6.69): The rusted appearance becomes more pronounced, with significant darkening across the weapon's surface.
• Battle-Scarred ($6.62): The patina finish is heavily degraded, resulting in a very dark and desaturated rusted look.
