Origin Story

The SCAR-20 | Sand Mesh, released on November 27, 2013, as part of the "Out with the old, in with the new" update, emerges from The Dust 2 Collection. This skin features a utilitarian, stencil-driven sand-and-gray camouflage look, achieved by spray-painting using mesh fencing and cardboard cutouts. Its rough industrial feel aligns with the weapon's robust nature. The in-game description notes its creation through stenciled spray-paint, emphasizing its practical, combat-ready appearance. Drop Chance

SCAR-20 | Sand Mesh is Consumer Grade, the most common drop tier in CS2. It has appeared across 11 tournament packages, most recently the Katowice 2019 Dust II Souvenir Package, London 2018 Dust II Souvenir Package, and MLG Columbus 2016 Dust II Souvenir Package.
