Origin Story

The FAMAS | Faulty Wiring, released on September 22, 2021, as part of Operation Riptide, is a Consumer Grade skin from The 2021 Vertigo Collection. Its design features a wiring diagram pattern applied over a metallic base, consistent with its in-game description. The Anodized Multicolored finish gives the surface a metallic sheen, with the circuit-like linework visible across the receiver and magazine area in first-person view. This skin is primarily recognized as a low-tier item within a map collection.

Drop Chance

• Minimal Wear ($1.26): The pattern remains vivid, with only light edge wear or small nicks appearing on sharp corners and the front of the weapon, maintaining a strong metallic sheen.
• Field-Tested ($0.66): Noticeable edge wear and chips appear on the handguard, magazine well, and stock, with some areas of the wiring diagram looking slightly faded where underlying metal shows through.
• Well-Worn ($1.40): Heavier edge and surface wear is present, with more visible exposed metal on corners and thin areas, and a noticeably dulled metallic sheen, though the wiring pattern remains legible.
