Origin Story

The Nova | Predator features a zebra stripe pattern spray-painted across its body. This design was introduced on November 27, 2013, as part of The Dust 2 Collection, released alongside the "Out with the old, in with the new" update. The distinct striped finish gives the shotgun a recognizable appearance.

Drop Chance

Nova | Predator is Consumer Grade, the most common drop tier in CS2. It has appeared across 11 tournament packages, most recently the Katowice 2019 Dust II Souvenir Package, London 2018 Dust II Souvenir Package, and MLG Columbus 2016 Dust II Souvenir Package.


Souvenir Packages are awarded to viewers watching live Major matches on the corresponding map, not opened from cases, so Valve doesn't publish per-skin drop odds. Each package contains one item from The Dust 2 Collection, with rarity tiers drawn on a weighted system that heavily favors common grades, meaning Consumer Grade skins like Predator are a small fraction of total package contents. There are 5 other Consumer Grade skins in the collection competing for the same drop slot. New copies only enter the market when a recipient chooses to open their package, so supply trickles in over time even after the tournament ends.

Skin Condition

Float range 0.06 to 0.8. Exteriors: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, Battle-Scarred. StatTrak is not available for this skin.

• Factory New ($0.93): The spray-painted pattern is fully intact and vibrant, with no visible wear.
• Minimal Wear ($0.07): Minor abrasions begin to appear on the edges of the weapon, but the overall pattern remains clear.
• Field-Tested ($0.03): Noticeable wear and scuffing are present across the weapon's body, particularly on high-traffic areas.
• Well-Worn ($0.04): Significant paint loss and scratching are visible, causing the pattern to appear faded and heavily used.
• Battle-Scarred ($0.04): The spray-painted finish is heavily worn, with large areas of the underlying material exposed and the pattern barely discernible.

Model

Predator uses the legacy Nova model, introduced with Out with the old, in with the new on November 27, 2013. The inspect animation and third-person appearance match the original CS:GO version.

How to Obtain

The Nova | Predator is exclusively available as a Souvenir item, originally distributed in event-specific packages during CS:GO Major tournaments. These packages, such as the Atlanta 2017 Dust II Souvenir Package and the Katowice 2019 Dust II Souvenir Package, were awarded to viewers watching live matches. Since these tournaments have concluded, new souvenir packages are no longer being distributed. Today, players primarily acquire this skin by purchasing existing copies from the Steam Community Market, third-party marketplaces, or specialized CS2 skin trading sites.
