Origin Story

The Five-SeveN | Heat Treated showcases a vibrant, multi-colored finish achieved through a color case-hardening process involving wood charcoal at high temperatures. This distinctive appearance, with its tempered steel tones, was introduced on October 4, 2024, as part of The Armory update and is included in The Sport & Field Collection. Its aesthetic is characterized by the unique interplay of blues, purples, golds, and browns across the weapon's surface. The in-game flavor text, "A little color never hurt anyone," playfully hints at its colorful design.

Drop Chance

Five-SeveN | Heat Treated is Restricted, a Purple-tier skin in the upper half of the rarity ladder. It can drop as an end-of-match reward from active competitive play on the Sport & Field Collection item pool. Map drops follow a weighted rarity system that heavily favors common grades, so Restricted drops are uncommon and Valve doesn't publish per-skin odds. There are 2 other Restricted skins in the collection competing for the same drop slot. Most copies enter the market through trade-up contracts or direct purchase at a listed seller's price.

• Factory New ($35.00): Expect maximum color vibrancy in the heat-treated areas, with the most intense blues, purples, and golds, and minimal edge fading, making it the premium visual tier for collectors.
• Minimal Wear ($7.61): Visual condition is very close to Factory New, with strong color and only light micro-scratches or faint edge wear on high-contact zones like the front of the slide and the sharp corners of the frame.
• Field-Tested ($4.33): Edge wear and dulling of the colors become more noticeable, with the slide edges, muzzle, and possibly back of the pistol beginning to show exposed darker metal or more muted tempering tones.
• Well-Worn ($4.34): Significant wear appears along most major edges and contact points, with large areas of the heat-treated finish looking faded or partially worn through, especially on the slide and front end.
• Battle-Scarred ($4.21): Extensive fading and wear are present, with the heat-treated coloration heavily diminished in many areas and prominent exposed base metal on major edges, making it the cheapest entry point.
