Origin Story

The AWP | LongDog features a custom paint job depicting the elongated dog graffiti from the Train map, an element that gives the sniper rifle a distinctive visual identity. This design is further complemented by the flavor text, which reads, ""The greatest dog to have ever lived is the one waiting for you at home."" Released on April 1, 2025, as part of the Spring Forward update, the skin is included in The Train 2025 Collection. The Gunsmith finish style suggests a combination of custom paint with modeled elements, creating a detailed and layered appearance centered around the prominent graffiti graphic.

Drop Chance

AWP | LongDog is Covert, a Red-tier skin, the rarest standard drop grade. It appeared in the Austin 2025 Train Souvenir Package and Budapest 2025 Train Souvenir Package.


Souvenir Packages are awarded to viewers watching live Major matches on the corresponding map, not opened from cases, so Valve doesn't publish per-skin drop odds. Each package contains one item from The Train 2025 Collection, with rarity tiers drawn on a weighted system that heavily favors common grades, meaning Covert skins like LongDog are a small fraction of total package contents. New copies only enter the market when a recipient chooses to open their package, so supply trickles in over time even after the tournament ends.

• Minimal Wear ($317.95): The graffiti and primary colors remain extremely crisp, with only very small nicks or faint wear appearing on exposed metal edges like the barrel tip and scope ring.
• Field-Tested ($159.80): More visible wear appears on the barrel, scope body, and receiver edges, with the base material starting to show through in small patches.
• Well-Worn ($81.39): Clear, widespread scuffing is present across the barrel and scope, with significant edge wear and more exposed base material along the body.
• Battle-Scarred ($77.30): Heavy wear with large zones of exposed base material covers the barrel, scope, and broad panels of the receiver and stock, causing the LongDog graffiti to appear substantially faded.

Model

LongDog uses the current AWP model, added with Spring Forward on April 1, 2025. The Gunsmith finish responds to CS2's dynamic lighting.

How to Obtain

The AWP | LongDog is exclusively available in Souvenir quality and can be found in the Austin 2025 Train Souvenir Package and Budapest 2025 Train Souvenir Package. These packages were originally awarded to viewers during Major tournaments when watching matches played on the Train map. Consequently, buyers primarily acquire this Covert AWP skin by purchasing it directly from other players on the Steam Community Market, third-party marketplaces, or specialized CS2 skin trading sites.
