Origin Story

The Tec-9 | Army Mesh was released on November 27, 2013, as part of The Safehouse Collection with the "Out with the old, in with the new" update. Its design features a freehand spray-painted pattern, created using mesh fabric as a stencil. This gives the weapon a subdued, military-inspired appearance with muted olive green, khaki, and dark mesh lines. It is primarily recognized as a budget-friendly option for players who prefer a consistent military theme in their loadouts.

Drop Chance

Tec-9 | Army Mesh is Consumer Grade, the most common drop tier in CS2. It can drop as an end-of-match reward from active competitive play on the Safehouse Collection item pool. Map drops follow a weighted rarity system that heavily favors common grades, so Consumer Grade drops are uncommon and Valve doesn't publish per-skin odds. There are 4 other Consumer Grade skins in the collection competing for the same drop slot. Most copies enter the market through trade-up contracts or direct purchase at a listed seller's price.

Skin Condition

Float range 0 to 0.6. Exteriors: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, Battle-Scarred. StatTrak is not available for this skin.

• Factory New ($0.13): The olive green and khaki mesh pattern is fully intact with crisp lines and saturated colors across the slide and barrel shroud.
• Minimal Wear ($0.04): Small scratches begin to appear on the muzzle and sharp edges, but the overall mesh pattern remains clear and colors are strong.
• Field-Tested ($0.03): More noticeable edge fading occurs on the barrel and slide, with some patches of the dark base showing through, softening the camo contrast.
• Well-Worn ($0.05): Significant paint loss is visible on prominent edges like the front barrel and top of the slide, making the gun appear dull and patchy.
• Battle-Scarred ($0.05): Large portions of the spray-paint finish are worn down, especially on front and top surfaces, resulting in a heavily faded and washed-out camo impression.

Model

Army Mesh uses the legacy Tec-9 model, introduced with Out with the old, in with the new on November 27, 2013. The inspect animation and third-person appearance match the original CS:GO version.

How to Obtain

The Tec-9 | Army Mesh is obtainable as a random end-of-match drop from The Safehouse Collection, which is tied to the Safehouse group of hostage maps. Players can also acquire it through trade-up contracts, using ten lower-rarity skins from The Safehouse Collection to receive a skin of the next tier. For direct purchase, this skin is readily available on the Steam Community Market and various third-party marketplaces. It can also be found on case-opening and skin-trading sites that stock collection items. A Souvenir version of this skin also exists, which can be acquired through similar market channels.
