Origin Story

The MAG-7 Storm features individual parts spray-painted in solid colors, creating a stormy color scheme. This shotgun skin was introduced on July 1, 2014, as part of the Operation Breakout update and is found within The Overpass Collection. Its design focuses on a practical, almost industrial aesthetic, with its components appearing to be hastily but effectively customized. The skin's flavor text, "It will be waiting for you at the monorail," adds a layer of mystery and intrigue to its utilitarian appearance.

Drop Chance

MAG-7 | Storm is Consumer Grade, the most common drop tier in CS2. It has appeared across 18 tournament packages, most recently the Paris 2023 Overpass Souvenir Package, Rio 2022 Overpass Souvenir Package, and Stockholm 2021 Overpass Souvenir Package.


Souvenir Packages are awarded to viewers watching live Major matches on the corresponding map, not opened from cases, so Valve doesn't publish per-skin drop odds. Each package contains one item from The Overpass Collection, with rarity tiers drawn on a weighted system that heavily favors common grades, meaning Consumer Grade skins like Storm are a small fraction of total package contents. There are 4 other Consumer Grade skins in the collection competing for the same drop slot. New copies only enter the market when a recipient chooses to open their package, so supply trickles in over time even after the tournament ends.

Skin Condition

Float range 0.06 to 0.8. Exteriors: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, Battle-Scarred. StatTrak is not available for this skin.

• Factory New ($23.69): The solid blue finish appears clean and uniform across the weapon.
• Minimal Wear ($1.69): Minor abrasions may begin to appear on the edges of the MAG-7.
• Field-Tested ($0.55): Noticeable wear becomes visible on the weapon's body, particularly on exposed surfaces.
• Well-Worn ($0.65): The blue finish shows significant scratching and scuffing, but the color remains largely intact.
• Battle-Scarred ($0.52): Heavy wear and discoloration are present across the entire weapon, giving it a heavily used appearance.

Model

Storm uses the legacy MAG-7 model, introduced with Operation Breakout on July 1, 2014. The inspect animation and third-person appearance match the original CS:GO version.

How to Obtain

The MAG-7 | Storm is exclusively available as a Souvenir item, originally distributed in souvenir packages during CS:GO Major tournaments. These packages, such as the Antwerp 2022 Overpass Souvenir Package or the DreamHack 2014 Overpass Souvenir Package, were awarded to viewers watching live matches on the Overpass map. Since these tournaments have concluded, new souvenir packages are no longer being distributed. Consequently, the primary way to acquire this skin today is by purchasing it directly from other players on the Steam Community Market, third-party marketplaces, or various case-opening and skin trading sites.
