Origin Story

The FAMAS Styx was released on August 8, 2014, as part of The Cache Collection, coinciding with the Cologne 2014 update. Its design features a chrome base overlaid with a semi-transparent hydrographic pattern of nuclear skulls and bones. This distinctive pattern gives the weapon a macabre and unsettling appearance.

Drop Chance

FAMAS | Styx is Restricted, a Purple-tier skin in the upper half of the rarity ladder. It has appeared across 12 tournament packages, most recently the Krakow 2017 Cache Souvenir Package, London 2018 Cache Souvenir Package, and MLG Columbus 2016 Cache Souvenir Package.


Souvenir Packages are awarded to viewers watching live Major matches on the corresponding map, not opened from cases, so Valve doesn't publish per-skin drop odds. Each package contains one item from The Cache Collection, with rarity tiers drawn on a weighted system that heavily favors common grades, meaning Restricted skins like Styx are a small fraction of total package contents. There is 1 other Restricted skin in the collection competing for the same drop slot. New copies only enter the market when a recipient chooses to open their package, so supply trickles in over time even after the tournament ends.

Skin Condition

Float range 0 to 0.6. Exteriors: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, Battle-Scarred. StatTrak is not available for this skin.

• Factory New ($154.99): The anodized finish retains its full, deep purple and green hues across the weapon.
• Minimal Wear ($27.23): The vibrant colors show minimal signs of wear, maintaining most of their original intensity.
• Field-Tested ($14.63): Slight dulling of the anodized finish becomes noticeable, particularly on exposed edges.
• Well-Worn ($15.91): The purple and green colors appear subdued, with more extensive wear visible across the surface.
• Battle-Scarred ($12.71): The anodized finish is significantly dulled and scratched, with the underlying metal showing through in places.

Styx uses the legacy FAMAS model, introduced with Cologne 2014 on August 8, 2014. The inspect animation and third-person appearance match the original CS:GO version.

How to Obtain

The FAMAS | Styx is exclusively available as a Souvenir item, originating from specific tournament packages such as the Atlanta 2017 Cache Souvenir Package and the Katowice 2019 Cache Souvenir Package. These packages were awarded to viewers during Major tournaments for watching matches played on the Cache map. Since new souvenir packages are no longer distributed, players acquire this skin by purchasing existing copies from the Steam Community Market, third-party marketplaces, or case-opening sites.
