Origin Story

The FAMAS | Survivor Z, released on September 17, 2015, as part of The Shadow Collection with the Shadow Boxing update, features a distinctive red and white design. Its in-game description notes it has been stenciled using masking tape then distressed, giving it a blood-splattered and worn appearance. This skin is generally considered a budget, mid-tier option, appealing to players who favor a zombie or apocalypse theme for their loadouts. It stands out for its unique horror-themed aesthetic rather than as a high-end collector's piece.

• Minimal Wear ($1.27): Only light edge wear and small micro-scratches appear on high-contact corners like the front handguard edges and rear stock corner, while the main red-and-white body remains clean.
• Field-Tested ($0.57): Noticeable chipping along the leading edges of the handguard, around the mag well, and near the stock makes the distressed look more pronounced, with more dark base material visible.
• Well-Worn ($0.70): Large areas of edge wear with significant chipping appear along the front and back edges, plus more frequent patches of missing paint on the body, making colors appear slightly duller overall.
• Battle-Scarred ($0.58): Heavy wear covers almost all exposed surfaces with large patches of dark base material, and the red and white sections become fragmented and muted.

Survivor Z uses the legacy FAMAS model, introduced with Shadow Boxing on September 17, 2015. The inspect animation and third-person appearance match the original CS:GO version.

How to Obtain

The FAMAS | Survivor Z is primarily found by opening a Shadow Case. While the Shadow Case is no longer an active drop, existing cases can still be opened, and new supply enters the market through these openings. Players can also acquire this Mil-Spec skin through trade-up contracts using ten lower-rarity skins from The Shadow Collection. A StatTrak version is also available for kill tracking. For direct purchase, the skin is readily available on the Steam Community Market, third-party marketplaces, and various case-opening or skin-trading sites.
