Origin Story

The Sawed-Off | Zander, released on March 16, 2017, as part of the Take a trip to the Canals update, is a Mil-Spec shotgun from The Spectrum Collection. Its design features a hand-painted motif intended to resemble a popular game fish, distinguishing it with an aquatic theme. The accompanying flavor text, "This one's a keeper," playfully reinforces its fish-inspired appearance. This skin offers a distinct visual identity within its collection, characterized by its unique portrayal of marine life.

Drop Chance

Sawed-Off | Zander is Mil-Spec, a Blue-tier skin, less common than base collection drops. From the Spectrum Case: approximately 11.42% per opening (roughly 1 in 9). The 79.92% Mil-Spec tier rate is split across 7 Mil-Spec skins in the case. StatTrak versions drop at ~1.14% from the Spectrum Case (about 1 in 88). • Well-Worn ($0.46): The skin appears significantly more muted, with broader areas of darkening and less visible fine detail, especially on the mid-body.
• Battle-Scarred ($0.38): The patina effects are heavily darkened, causing large sections of the surface to look uniformly dull, and the fish representation may become hard to parse.

Model

Zander uses the legacy Sawed-Off model, introduced with Take a trip to the Canals on March 16, 2017. The inspect animation and third-person appearance match the original CS:GO version.

How to Obtain

The Sawed-Off | Zander is primarily obtained by opening a Spectrum Case. While the Spectrum Case is no longer an active drop, it can still be acquired as a rare drop from the general case pool. Players can also acquire the Sawed-Off | Zander through trade-up contracts, using ten lower-rarity Mil-Spec skins from The Spectrum Collection. A StatTrak version of the skin is also available for kill tracking. For direct purchase, the skin is readily available on the Steam Community Market, third-party marketplaces, and various case-opening or skin-trading sites.
