FAMAS | Макабр

Origin Story

The FAMAS | Macabre, released in May 2017 as part of The Operation Hydra Collection, features a spray-painted design with a green pattern over a yellow undercoat. Its in-game description, "A gruesome discovery," hints at its unsettling aesthetic. While not a high-tier item, it offers a distinct visual within the collection. The skin remains a niche option for collectors seeking to complete Operation Hydra sets or for players looking for a budget-friendly FAMAS from the discontinued collection.

Drop Chance

FAMAS | Macabre is Mil-Spec, a Blue-tier skin, less common than base collection drops. From the Operation Hydra Case: approximately 11.42% per opening (roughly 1 in 9). The 79.92% Mil-Spec tier rate is split across 7 Mil-Spec skins in the case. StatTrak versions drop at ~1.14% from the Operation Hydra Case (about 1 in 88). These per-skin odds assume equal weighting within tier — Valve publishes tier rates but doesn't formally confirm even distribution across skins in a tier.

Skin Condition

Float range 0 to 0.6. Exteriors: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, Battle-Scarred. StatTrak is available in FN, MW, FT, WW, BS.

• Factory New ($9.50): The green spray-painted design and yellow undercoat are fully vibrant and intact, with no visible wear.
• Minimal Wear ($5.91): Light edge wear begins to appear on high-contact areas like the handguard, but the green and yellow colors remain bright.
• Field-Tested ($4.60): Noticeable chipping and scratches are present on the handguard and magwell, with the yellow undercoat showing some dullness.
• Well-Worn ($3.95): Extensive wear is visible, with significant chipping on the green spray elements and more exposed, dulled yellow undercoat.
• Battle-Scarred ($3.51): Heavy wear covers large portions of the skin, with much of the green design faded or chipped away, revealing a heavily scuffed yellow base.

Model

Macabre uses the legacy FAMAS model, introduced with Operation Hydra on May 24, 2017. The inspect animation and third-person appearance match the original CS:GO version.

For direct purchase, the skin is readily available on the Steam Community Market, third-party marketplaces, and various case-opening or skin trading sites.

Sticker Compatibility

The green and yellow color scheme of the FAMAS | Macabre pairs well with green-themed stickers to match the spray design, or yellow, gold, and orange stickers to harmonize with the undercoat. Black or white stickers can also provide a contrasting accent. The most visible sticker slots in first person are typically on the rear receiver and the upper receiver near the rear sight.
