Origin Story

The Stiletto Knife | Safari Mesh was introduced to CS2 on August 3, 2018, as part of the A New Horizon update. Its design features a muted tan, olive, and grey spray-painted mesh pattern, giving it a utilitarian, desert-camouflage appearance. This finish is applied using mesh fencing and cardboard cutouts as stencils, as described in its in-game text. The Stiletto Knife itself is known for its slender blade and unique animations. The Safari Mesh finish is generally regarded as a budget-friendly option for players who desire the Stiletto knife model without the higher cost of more vibrant finishes.
