Origin Story

The Talon Knife | Fade, released on August 3, 2018, with the A New Horizon update, is a rare special item known for its visually distinct blade. It features a chrome-backed gradient that transitions from yellow and orange through pink to purple, created by airbrushing transparent paints over a reflective base coat. This finish, combined with the Talon knife's unique shape and animations, positions it as a high-end, status-symbol knife within the CS2 community. Its appearance is often compared to other prestige Fade knives, forming part of a family of highly sought-after gradient finishes.

Drop Chance

Talon Knife | Fade is a knife-tier skin, so standard Valve rarity odds don't apply. Knives drop at a combined rate of approximately 0.26% from supported cases before accounting for which knife type and finish you get. Valve doesn't publish individual knife or phase probabilities.

Skin Condition

Float range 0 to 0.08. Exteriors: Factory New, Minimal Wear. StatTrak is available in FN, MW.

How to Obtain

The Talon Knife | Fade is obtained as a rare special item from opening a Horizon Case, Prisma Case, or Prisma 2 Case. Knives are exceptionally rare drops from these cases, separate from the regular weapon skin pool. Players can also acquire this knife by purchasing it directly from the Steam Community Market, through third-party marketplaces, or via case-opening and skin trading sites. A StatTrak version is also available for kill tracking.
