Origin Story

The R8 Revolver | Night was released on December 3, 2020, as part of Operation Broken Fang, and is included in The Ancient Collection. Its design features individual parts spray-painted in solid, muted colors, creating a night operations theme. The dark blue-grey and near-black tones give it a tactical and understated appearance. This skin embodies a stealthy, nocturnal identity, reinforced by its flavor text, "It's the whisper of the wind... it's the bite at your neck." It remains available through in-game drops tied to the Ancient map and souvenir packages.

Drop Chance

R8 Revolver | Night is Consumer Grade, the most common drop tier in CS2. It has appeared across 8 tournament packages, most recently the Rio 2022 Ancient Souvenir Package, Shanghai 2024 Ancient Souvenir Package, and Stockholm 2021 Ancient Souvenir Package.

Each package contains one item from The Ancient Collection, with rarity tiers drawn on a weighted system that heavily favors common grades, meaning Consumer Grade skins like Night are a small fraction of total package contents. New copies only enter the market when a recipient chooses to open their package, so supply trickles in over time even after the tournament ends.

Float range 0.06 to 0.8. Exteriors: Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, Battle-Scarred. StatTrak is not available for this skin.

• Minimal Wear ($1.95): The dark night-ops colors on the frame and cylinder appear nearly full and smooth, with only very minor edge marks. This serves as the top-end premium tier for this skin.
• Field-Tested ($0.76): Noticeable but moderate edge wear appears on the barrel muzzle, cylinder rims, and frame edges, with lighter abrasions breaking the uniform dark color. This is often a value pick.
• Well-Worn ($8.00): Larger, more connected worn patches appear on the barrel, cylinder, and around the trigger guard, with underlying metal showing through more clearly.
• Battle-Scarred ($0.98): The heaviest wear is present, with substantial paint loss on edges and flat surfaces, making the night-ops color areas look patchy with significant metal shine.

Since these tournaments have concluded, new packages are no longer being distributed.
