Origin Story

The R8 Revolver | Junk Yard emerged on May 3, 2021, as part of The Snakebite Collection, released alongside The End of Broken Fang update. This visual combination gives the revolver a distinctive, hand-modified appearance. While not a high-status item, it functions as a functional piece for collection completion or for enthusiasts of the R8 Revolver.

Drop Chance

R8 Revolver | Junk Yard is Mil-Spec, a Blue-tier skin, less common than base collection drops. From the Snakebite Case: approximately 11.42% per opening (roughly 1 in 9). The 79.92% Mil-Spec tier rate is split across 7 Mil-Spec skins in the case. StatTrak versions drop at ~1.14% from the Snakebite Case (about 1 in 88). These per-skin odds assume equal weighting within tier — Valve publishes tier rates but doesn't formally confirm even distribution across skins in a tier.

• Factory New ($5.52): The blue base is fully saturated, the silver handwriting and drawings are crisp and intact, and the red cylinder and front sight are clean and uniform.
• Minimal Wear ($0.40): The design remains very close to Factory New, with nearly full color vibrancy, though minor wear may appear on sharp edges of the barrel and cylinder.
• Field-Tested ($0.49): Noticeable edge wear appears on the barrel, cylinder edges, and frame corners, with some fading in the blue base and the red cylinder showing minor loss of pristine uniformity.
• Well-Worn ($0.29): The blue coating shows broader patches of fading and scratching, especially along the top of the barrel, cylinder, and grip edges, while silver markings can become partially worn away.
• Battle-Scarred ($0.30): Extensive surface wear is present, with large faded or chipped areas of the blue base, significantly degraded silver handwriting, and a faded red cylinder and sight.

Model

Junk Yard uses the current R8 Revolver model, added with The End of Broken Fang on May 3, 2021. The Gunsmith finish responds to CS2's dynamic lighting.

How to Obtain

The R8 Revolver | Junk Yard is primarily obtained by opening the Snakebite Case. It is also possible to acquire this Mil-Spec pistol through trade-up contracts, using ten lower-rarity skins from The Snakebite Collection. A StatTrak version is also available for kill tracking. For direct purchase, players can find the R8 Revolver | Junk Yard on the Steam Community Market, third-party marketplaces, and various case-opening or skin trading sites.
