Origin Story

The MAC-10 | Button Masher, released on May 3, 2021, as part of The Snakebite Collection during The End of Broken Fang update, custom paints the submachine gun to resemble a gamepad. Its design features various buttons seemingly poking through a clear polymer casing, creating a colorful and playful appearance. The skin's flavor text, "Giving the phrase 'console wars' a whole new meaning," reinforces its retro-gaming theme. This skin is generally regarded as a fun, "gamer" themed MAC-10, making it a popular choice for those seeking a lighthearted aesthetic.

The MAC-10 | Button Masher is primarily obtained by opening the Snakebite Case, which remains part of the active case drop pool in CS2. As a Restricted skin, it can also be acquired through trade-up contracts using ten lower-rarity skins from The Snakebite Collection. A StatTrak version is also available for kill tracking.
