Origin Story

The MP9 | Food Chain features a brightly colored custom paint job depicting a monster food chain, living up to its flavor text, "Eat or be eaten." This Classified rarity SMG skin was released on May 3, 2021, as part of The Snakebite Collection, coinciding with the End of Broken Fang update. It is recognized as a high-tier, flashy option within the Snakebite set, known for its vivid, full-body artwork. The skin's broad float range allows for both pristine, low-float appearances and heavily worn, distressed looks, making it a desirable craft base and collector piece among MP9 enthusiasts.

• Field-Tested ($5.24): More prominent chipping and scratching appear along edges and corners, with minor intrusion into the monster artwork, especially near the front and rear extremities.
• Well-Worn ($4.90): Noticeably heavier wear, with larger chips and faded areas particularly on the outer edges, causing some segments of the monster chain to appear partially eroded.
• Battle-Scarred ($4.55): Heavy paint loss is evident on edges and broader surfaces, making portions of the monster chain appear fragmented and distressed, though large color blocks remain identifiable.

How to Obtain

The MP9 | Food Chain is primarily obtained by opening a Snakebite Case, which is now part of the rare drop pool for standard in-game case drops. Players can also acquire this Classified skin through trade-up contracts, exchanging ten lower-rarity skins from The Snakebite Collection. A StatTrak version is also available for kill tracking. Additionally, the skin can be purchased directly from the Steam Community Market, various third-party marketplaces, or case-opening and skin trading sites.
