Origin Story

The FAMAS CaliCamo, released on September 22, 2021, as part of Operation Riptide and The 2021 Mirage Collection, features a VariCamo patterned hydrographic. This camouflage design covers the weapon, giving it a distinct, water-transferred appearance. The in-game description notes its application via a VariCamo patterned hydrographic. Its flavor text, "Rebuilding only comes in the wake of destruction," adds a layer of thematic depth to its military-inspired look.

Drop Chance

FAMAS | CaliCamo is Industrial Grade, a common skin tier, one step above Consumer Grade. It has appeared across 8 tournament packages, most recently the Rio 2022 Mirage Souvenir Package, Shanghai 2024 Mirage Souvenir Package, and Stockholm 2021 Mirage Souvenir Package.


Souvenir Packages are awarded to viewers watching live Major matches on the corresponding map, not opened from cases, so Valve doesn't publish per-skin drop odds. Each package contains one item from The 2021 Mirage Collection, with rarity tiers drawn on a weighted system that heavily favors common grades, meaning Industrial Grade skins like CaliCamo are a small fraction of total package contents. There are 3 other Industrial Grade skins in the collection competing for the same drop slot. New copies only enter the market when a recipient chooses to open their package, so supply trickles in over time even after the tournament ends.

Skin Condition

Float range 0 to 0.6. Exteriors: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, Battle-Scarred. StatTrak is not available for this skin.

• Factory New ($6.24): The VariCamo patterned hydrographic finish is fully intact, showing the camouflage design clearly across the weapon.
• Minimal Wear ($1.32): Minor abrasions may appear on high-contact areas, but the overall VariCamo pattern remains largely pristine.
• Field-Tested ($0.39): Visible wear begins to thin the hydrographic coating on edges and frequently handled parts, though the camouflage pattern is still distinct.
• Well-Worn ($0.55): The VariCamo pattern shows significant fading and wear, particularly on the stock and receiver, revealing more of the underlying surface.
• Battle-Scarred ($0.51): Heavy wear across the entire weapon drastically degrades the hydrographic finish, leaving only remnants of the original VariCamo pattern.

How to Obtain

The FAMAS | CaliCamo is exclusively found in Souvenir Packages from tournaments, such as the Antwerp 2022 Mirage Souvenir Package, Stockholm 2021 Mirage Souvenir Package, and Paris 2023 Mirage Souvenir Package. These packages were originally awarded to viewers during Major tournaments for watching live matches on the Mirage map. Since these tournaments have concluded, new packages are no longer distributed. Players can acquire this skin today by purchasing existing copies on the Steam Community Market or third-party marketplaces.
