Origin Story

The MAC-10 Palm, released on November 27, 2013, as part of the "Out with the old, in with the new" update, is a desert-themed skin from The Dust 2 Collection. Its design features olive green palm leaf silhouettes stenciled over a beige base, created to mimic spray-painting with cardboard cutouts and fine mesh. This skin is generally considered a budget-tier item, valued primarily for its nostalgic connection to the classic Dust 2 map and as a functional, low-cost option for players. It embodies the rustic, utilitarian aesthetic prevalent in early CS:GO map collections.

Drop Chance

MAC-10 | Palm is Industrial Grade, a common skin tier, one step above Consumer Grade. It has appeared across 11 tournament packages, most recently the Katowice 2019 Dust II Souvenir Package, London 2018 Dust II Souvenir Package, and MLG Columbus 2016 Dust II Souvenir Package.


Souvenir Packages are awarded to viewers watching live Major matches on the corresponding map, not opened from cases, so Valve doesn't publish per-skin drop odds. Each package contains one item from The Dust 2 Collection, with rarity tiers drawn on a weighted system that heavily favors common grades, meaning Industrial Grade skins like Palm are a small fraction of total package contents. There are 4 other Industrial Grade skins in the collection competing for the same drop slot. New copies only enter the market when a recipient chooses to open their package, so supply trickles in over time even after the tournament ends.

Skin Condition

Float range 0.06 to 0.8. Exteriors: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, Battle-Scarred. StatTrak is not available for this skin.

• Factory New ($8.00): The olive palm leaf shapes are crisp and clearly defined against the beige base, showing only very light edge wear due to the minimum float.
• Minimal Wear ($0.31): The overall palm pattern remains intact, but small scratches and faint fading begin to appear on high-contact corners, the barrel tip, and magazine edges.
• Field-Tested ($0.07): The beige background starts to appear dull, and the spray-painted palm shapes lose sharpness, with more evident scratches and wear patches around the barrel and mag well.
• Well-Worn ($0.05): Wear becomes clearly noticeable, with larger areas of the beige base showing uneven discoloration and the palm stencils looking faded and broken up on the front and sides.
• Battle-Scarred ($0.06): The skin is significantly washed out, with muted colors, heavy scratching, and discoloration over large portions, particularly on the front body and top rail, though the overall palm motif remains.

Model

Palm uses the legacy MAC-10 model, introduced with Out with the old, in with the new on November 27, 2013. The inspect animation and third-person appearance match the original CS:GO version.

How to Obtain

The MAC-10 | Palm is exclusively found as a Souvenir skin from The Dust 2 Collection. It was originally distributed through various tournament Souvenir Packages, such as the Atlanta 2017 Dust II Souvenir Package and the ESL One Katowice 2015 Dust II Souvenir Package, which were awarded to viewers during Major events. Since new packages are no longer distributed, players can acquire this skin by purchasing it directly from the Steam Community Market, third-party marketplaces, or skin trading sites.
