Origin Story

The SCAR-20 | Short Ochre, released on April 1, 2025, as part of the Spring Forward update, is described in-game as being painted with different shades of yellow. Its flavor text, "Here's some new material...", accompanied its debut. This skin is associated with The Radiant Collection. As a Solid Color finish, its yellow and ochre tones are applied uniformly across the weapon.

Drop Chance

SCAR-20 | Short Ochre is Consumer Grade, the most common drop tier in CS2. It can drop as an end-of-match reward from active competitive play on the Radiant Collection item pool. Map drops follow a weighted rarity system that heavily favors common grades, so Consumer Grade drops are uncommon and Valve doesn't publish per-skin odds. • Factory New ($0.08): The yellow/ochre paint is fully intact and uniform across the weapon, with no visible scratches or edge wear.
• Minimal Wear ($0.03): Very minor edge marks may begin to appear on the front of the handguard and around the scope mount, but the overall yellow/ochre color remains bright.
• Field-Tested ($0.03): More noticeable chipping and fading can be seen on high-contact edges like the barrel shroud and receiver, with the yellow/ochre appearing less uniform.
• Well-Worn ($0.03): Broader patches of faded yellow/ochre and exposed metal are visible along leading edges and corners, giving the weapon a distinctly used appearance.
• Battle-Scarred ($0.03): Extensive wear covers large areas, with significant exposed metal and the remaining yellow/ochre paint appearing muted and uneven.
