Origin Story

The SG 553 | Traveler is a distinctive rifle skin from The Baggage Collection, released on July 1, 2014, with Operation Breakout. Its design features a custom paint job in a stripe pattern inspired by vintage luggage, complemented by brown leather-wrapped sections. This thematic approach gives the skin a unique visual character, drawing inspiration from classic travel aesthetics. Drop Chance

SG 553 | Traveler is Industrial Grade, a common skin tier, one step above Consumer Grade. It can drop as an end-of-match reward from active competitive play on the Baggage Collection item pool. Map drops follow a weighted rarity system that heavily favors common grades, so Industrial Grade drops are uncommon and Valve doesn't publish per-skin odds. There are 3 other Industrial Grade skins in the collection competing for the same drop slot. Most copies enter the market through trade-up contracts or direct purchase at a listed seller's price.

• Factory New ($39.45): The luggage-inspired stripe pattern is sharp and clean with full color saturation; beige and tan areas look smooth and uniform, and brown leather parts appear intact.
• Minimal Wear ($13.73): Small traces of wear may begin to appear on high edges and the muzzle, but the main body and brown leather-wrapped sections remain visually clean.
• Field-Tested ($9.15): Noticeable edge wear and light pattern interruption appear on the muzzle, front of the handguard, and receiver corners, with the beige/tan background showing soft fading.
• Well-Worn ($7.49): Significant chipping and scratches affect exposed metal surfaces, with the stripe design increasingly interrupted on the front and outer curves, and the beige background appearing muted.
• Battle-Scarred ($7.50): Extensive wear with large regions of exposed base material is present on the front half and sharp edges, causing the stripe pattern to be heavily fragmented and the leather sections to appear very worn and darkened.

Traveler uses the legacy SG 553 model, introduced with Operation Breakout on July 1, 2014. The inspect animation and third-person appearance match the original CS:GO version.

While Operation Breakout has ended, this skin can still be acquired as a rare random drop from the generic in-game drop pool.
