Origin Story

The MP9 | Goo features a distinct custom paint job that covers a grey base with a tar-like substance, evoking a dark, organic aesthetic. Released on September 14, 2017, as part of the Spectrum 2 Collection alongside the "China, are you ready?" update, this skin offers a quirky, gooey design. It is often considered a mid-tier option for players who appreciate darker sci-fi or organic looks in their loadouts. The skin’s visual identity is defined by its almost black tar-like goo shapes, which are concentrated on the right side of the receiver and magazine area, contrasting against the neutral grey.

• Field-Tested ($1.29): More noticeable scratches and wear patches appear along edges and some flat surfaces, with portions of the grey base starting to show through around the muzzle and receiver edges.
• Well-Worn ($1.41): Heavier edge wear is present, with more of the grey base visible at corners and around the front of the gun and magazine, making the goo shapes appear partially eroded.
• Battle-Scarred ($1.24): Significant wear covers broad patches of the skin, with washed edges and dulled goo shapes; the grey base is prominent, giving the weapon a heavily used appearance.

The MP9 | Goo can be acquired by opening a Spectrum 2 Case. Players can also obtain this Restricted skin through a trade-up contract using ten lower-rarity skins from The Spectrum 2 Collection. A StatTrak version is also available for kill tracking. Additionally, the skin is available for purchase on the Steam Community Market, third-party marketplaces, or various case-opening and skin-trading sites.
