Five-SeveN | Поверхностная закалка

Origin Story

The Five-SeveN | Case Hardened was introduced on November 8, 2013, as part of The Arms Deal 2 Collection. This skin is known for its distinct metallic sheen, achieved through a color case-hardening process involving wood charcoal at high temperatures. Its visual appeal comes from the randomized patterns of blues, purples, and golds that emerge from this unique manufacturing technique. The in-game description notes, "It has been color case-hardened through the application of wood charcoal at high temperatures," emphasizing the real-world industrial process behind its appearance. The flavor text, "A little color never hurt anyone," playfully hints at the vibrant and unpredictable nature of its finish.

Drop Chance

Five-SeveN | Case Hardened is Restricted, a Purple-tier skin in the upper half of the rarity ladder. From the CS:GO Weapon Case 2: approximately 4.00% per opening (roughly 1 in 25). The 15.98% Restricted tier rate is split across 4 Restricted skins in the case. StatTrak versions drop at ~0.40% from the CS:GO Weapon Case 2 (about 1 in 250). These per-skin odds assume equal weighting within tier — Valve publishes tier rates but doesn't formally confirm even distribution across skins in a tier.
