Origin Story

The AUG | Spalted Wood, released on September 22, 2021, as part of The 2021 Dust 2 Collection with Operation Riptide, features a hydrographic pattern resembling dried wood. This design gives the rifle a naturalistic, rustic appearance, characterized by light to medium brown wood tones with darker veining. The wood grain is prominently displayed on the receiver and main body, making it visible when aiming down sights. Its aesthetic positions it as a thematic piece within the collection.

AUG | Spalted Wood is Industrial Grade, a common skin tier, one step above Consumer Grade. It has appeared across 6 tournament packages, most recently the Rio 2022 Dust II Souvenir Package, Shanghai 2024 Dust II Souvenir Package, and Stockholm 2021 Dust II Souvenir Package.
