Origin Story

The G3SG1 | Green Cell features a green and black hex pattern, spray-painted onto the rifle with the flavor text "Hex marks the spot." This skin was released on April 1, 2025, as part of the Spring Forward update and belongs to The Boreal Collection. Its design provides a dark, tactical aesthetic, making it a suitable choice for players who appreciate military-inspired finishes.

Drop Chance

G3SG1 | Green Cell is Consumer Grade, the most common drop tier in CS2. It can drop as an end-of-match reward from active competitive play on the Boreal Collection item pool. Map drops follow a weighted rarity system that heavily favors common grades, so Consumer Grade drops are uncommon and Valve doesn't publish per-skin odds. • Factory New ($0.06): The green and black hex pattern is crisp and fully opaque across the receiver, scope casing, and handguard, with minimal visible scratches.
• Minimal Wear ($0.03): The hex pattern remains very close to Factory New in overall impression, though tiny nicks or faint thinning may appear on the muzzle, bipod legs, and sharp corners.
• Field-Tested ($0.03): More noticeable chipping and thinning occur on the front barrel, receiver edges, and scope edges, with patches of duller base material showing through.
• Well-Worn ($0.03): The green softens and fades, with black hex lines partially broken by scratches, and larger worn patches appear across the rifle body.
• Battle-Scarred ($0.03): Extensive wear leaves the green faded and black hex lines washed out, with broad areas of base material exposed on the barrel, handguard edges, and rear stock.
