Origin Story

The XM1014 | Blue Steel features a cold blued finish, giving the shotgun a distinct, darkened metallic appearance. This finish method, applied to steel, creates a protective layer with a deep blue-black color. It was released on November 27, 2013, as part of The Lake Collection, coinciding with the "Out with the old, in with the new" update. The skin's aesthetic is characterized by its understated yet refined look, a quality noted by the arms dealer Booth, who described it as "the malbec of weapon design."

XM1014 | Blue Steel is Industrial Grade, a common skin tier, one step above Consumer Grade. It can drop as an end-of-match reward from active competitive play on the Lake Collection item pool.
