Origin Story

The Navaja Knife | Blue Steel was introduced to CS2 on August 3, 2018, as part of the A New Horizon update, making it one of the original finishes for the Navaja knife model. This skin features a cold blued metal finish, which gives the blade and other metallic components a muted steel appearance with blue-grey and sometimes subtle purple tones. The in-game description succinctly states, "It has been cold blued," referencing this chemical treatment. Blue Steel finishes are generally regarded as realistic and understated, appealing to players who prefer a subtle, metallic look over flashier designs.

• Battle-Scarred ($67.45): The surface appears faded, dull steel with only traces of blue in lower-contact spots, making the blade look more like aged bare metal.

Blue Steel uses the legacy Navaja Knife model, introduced with A New Horizon on August 3, 2018. The inspect animation and third-person appearance match the original CS:GO version.

How to Obtain

The Navaja Knife | Blue Steel is primarily obtained as a rare special item from the Horizon Case. This case remains in the active rare drop pool, meaning new copies can still be unboxed. A StatTrak version is also available for kill tracking. For direct acquisition, players can purchase the skin on the Steam Community Market, through third-party marketplaces, or from case-opening and skin trading sites.
