Origin Story

The AUG | Colony, released on November 27, 2013, as part of the "Out with the old, in with the new" update, is a utilitarian skin from The Mirage Collection. It features individual parts spray-painted in khaki and grey, creating a two-tone, muted appearance. This Solid Color finish gives the weapon a low-contrast look, consistent with other "Colony" finishes in the game. It is recognized as a budget-friendly option within the Mirage Collection, often grouped with other simple, drab skins from the same set.

Drop Chance

AUG | Colony is Consumer Grade, the most common drop tier in CS2. It has appeared across 13 tournament packages, most recently the Krakow 2017 Mirage Souvenir Package, London 2018 Mirage Souvenir Package, and MLG Columbus 2016 Mirage Souvenir Package.


Souvenir Packages are awarded to viewers watching live Major matches on the corresponding map, not opened from cases, so Valve doesn't publish per-skin drop odds. Each package contains one item from The Mirage Collection, with rarity tiers drawn on a weighted system that heavily favors common grades, meaning Consumer Grade skins like Colony are a small fraction of total package contents. There are 5 other Consumer Grade skins in the collection competing for the same drop slot. New copies only enter the market when a recipient chooses to open their package, so supply trickles in over time even after the tournament ends.

Float range 0.06 to 0.8. Exteriors: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, Battle-Scarred. StatTrak is not available for this skin.

• Factory New ($46.74): The khaki and grey paint appears clean and uniform, with minimal to no visible scratches.
• Minimal Wear ($3.42): The paint remains largely intact, with only a few small edge scuffs beginning to appear on high-contact areas.
• Field-Tested ($2.14): Noticeable wear develops along edges and on the khaki body, with some muted or dulled patches where the solid color loses its evenness.
• Well-Worn ($2.38): Heavier chipping is present on edges and front sections, and the khaki and grey tones appear more faded with uneven patches and exposed metal.
• Battle-Scarred ($2.45): Extensive paint loss and heavy edge wear are visible, with large portions of the surface showing exposed material and significantly dull, patchy colors.

Colony uses the legacy AUG model, introduced with Out with the old, in with the new on November 27, 2013. The inspect animation and third-person appearance match the original CS:GO version.

The AUG | Colony (Souvenir) is exclusively found in Souvenir Mirage Packages, which were historically distributed to viewers during Major tournaments for watching live matches on the Mirage map. These packages include the Atlanta 2017, Berlin 2019, Boston 2018, Cologne 2016, DreamHack 2014, DreamHack Cluj-Napoca 2015, ESL One Cologne 2014, ESL One Cologne 2015, ESL One Katowice 2015, Katowice 2019, Krakow 2017, London 2018, and MLG Columbus 2016 Mirage Souvenir Package. Since new packages are no longer distributed, players primarily acquire this skin by purchasing existing copies on the Steam Community Market or through third-party marketplaces. It is also available on various case-opening and skin trading sites.
