Origin Story

The AUG | Syd Mead was released on August 19, 2016, as part of The Gamma 2 Collection, arriving with the Double Exposure update. This skin is custom designed by renowned artist Syd Mead. Mead's work is celebrated for its visions of the future, and this design places that futuristic aesthetic directly into the hands of players.

• Field-Tested ($15.33): Noticeable wear becomes more prominent, with scuffs and scratches affecting the visual integrity of the design, and the finish showing less luster.
• Well-Worn ($14.18): Significant wear and tear are evident, leading to a much duller appearance and considerable degradation of the painted elements.
• Battle-Scarred ($14.00): The finish is heavily compromised, with large areas showing severe wear, extensive scratching, and a substantial loss of original color and reflectivity.

Model

Syd Mead uses the legacy AUG model, introduced with Double Exposure on August 19, 2016. The inspect animation and third-person appearance match the original CS:GO version.

How to Obtain

The AUG | Syd Mead is primarily found by opening the Gamma 2 Case. As a Classified rarity skin, it can also be acquired through trade-up contracts using ten lower-rarity skins from The Gamma 2 Collection. A StatTrak version is also available for kill tracking.
