Origin Story

The Skeleton Knife | Case Hardened features the distinctive swirling blue, gold, and purple hues of a patina finish, achieved through the application of wood charcoal at high temperatures. This knife model, with its skeletal-frame handle, was introduced on November 19, 2019, as part of the Operation Shattered Web update. Within the broader context of Case Hardened items, this skin is recognized as a premium, pattern-chasing collector's piece. Its appeal is largely driven by the rarity of "blue gem" patterns, where large, contiguous blue areas are highly sought after by collectors.

How to Obtain

The Skeleton Knife | Case Hardened is obtainable as a rare special item from opening the Shattered Web Case or the Fracture Case.
