Origin Story

The Falchion Knife | Case Hardened was released on May 26, 2015, as part of the Operation Bloodhound update. Its blade is color case-hardened, a process involving the application of wood charcoal at high temperatures, which gives each knife a unique pattern and coloration. The in-game flavor text, "A little color never hurt anyone," playfully alludes to this distinctive finish. The Falchion Knife is available across all wear tiers, from Factory New to Battle-Scarred.

• Well-Worn ($222.76): The metal significantly darkens, and the case-hardened colors lose much of their original intensity.
• Battle-Scarred ($176.01): The finish is heavily patinated, resulting in a significantly muted and darkened appearance across the blade.

Case Hardened uses the legacy Falchion Knife model, introduced with Operation Bloodhound on May 26, 2015. The inspect animation and third-person appearance match the original CS:GO version.
