Origin Story

The Shadow Daggers | Case Hardened were introduced on September 17, 2015, as part of the Shadow Boxing update, debuting alongside other finishes within the Shadow Case. This skin features the characteristic blue, purple, and gold hues of a Case Hardened finish, achieved through a process of color case-hardening with wood charcoal at high temperatures. Its flavor text, "A little color never hurt anyone," playfully highlights the vibrant, mottled appearance. As a pattern-gamble knife, its desirability and value are heavily influenced by the distribution of blue and gold on its dual blades, making it a distinctive collector's item within the Case Hardened family.
