Origin Story

The G3SG1 | Stinger features a Gunsmith finish, applying yellow and grey accents over a darker, industrial base for a mechanical aesthetic. Released with The Glove Collection as part of the Brothers In Arms update in November 2016, it was originally found in the Glove Case. This skin offers a distinct visual for the G3SG1, with its design focusing on a custom-shop look rather than bright or cartoonish elements. The scope housing, receiver, and central body panels prominently display the yellow and grey detailing in first-person view.

• Well-Worn ($5.29): Yellow and grey accents appear duller, with expanded wear patches and more exposed darker metal on edges and contact zones.
• Battle-Scarred ($4.30): The finish shows extensive surface wear, with large scuffed regions and significantly muted yellow accents, though the underlying design remains visible.

Model

Stinger uses the legacy G3SG1 model, introduced with Brothers In Arms on November 29, 2016. The inspect animation and third-person appearance match the original CS:GO version.

How to Obtain

The G3SG1 | Stinger is primarily obtained by opening a Glove Case, though new cases are no longer actively dropping in-game. Players can also acquire this Restricted rifle through trade-up contracts, using ten lower-rarity skins from The Glove Collection. A StatTrak version is also available for kill tracking. For direct purchase, the skin is readily available on the Steam Community Market, third-party marketplaces, and various case-opening or skin trading sites.
